Vitamins for Arthritis Sufferers

January 19th, 2008 . by admin

Just like not getting enough minerals, not getting enough vitamins in our diet can affect our health and also produce arthritis problems.

We can’t always get the right amount of vitamins because of the soil our produce was grown in, food processing methods, and eating snack/junk foods. And this is why people have begun to take vitamin supplements.

If you suffer from arthritis you may need to get these vitamins in your diet or through supplements to ease your symptoms.

Vitamin B5: It will help decrease swelling.

Vitamin B3: Can decrease swelling in tissues and dilates small arteries, which increases blood flow.

Vitamin B6: It will also keep tissue swelling down.

Vitamin B12: Assists in cell formation, digestion, myelin production, and nerve protection.

Vitamin C: Helps to reduce inflammation, ease pain, and get rid of free radicals.

Vitamin E: Keeps joints protected from free radicals and will help to provide joint flexibility.

Vitamin K: Helps to deposit minerals into the bone matrix.

-There are a couple kinds of vitamins-

Fist there are water soluble vitamins. They pass through our system fast and aren’t stored in our organs. These vitamins should be taken daily, perhaps a couple times a day.

The next type of vitamin is fat soluble. Examples of this vitamin are Vitamins A, D, E and K; they are stored in our liver.

*If you are thinking about taking a supplement, remember to talk to a doctor first.
