Quit Smoking Today

April 5th, 2008 . by admin

There are many people who think because they have smoke for such a long time, it won’t really matter if they quit. Will it really make a difference to quit or will the damage be just as great?

The answer to that question is it will make a huge difference to quit. This is why: the risk of having heart disease can be cut by up to half after quitting for just two years, after 15 years of not smoking a person will have the same risk of getting heart disease as someone who doesn’t smoke, and five-fifteen years after quitting that person will have the same risk of a stroke as someone who has never smoked.

When you quit smoking you can lessen the risk of getting lung cancer. You can cut that risk in half after 10 years and your life expectancy will increase by at least five years. Just because you quit later in life doesn’t mean you won’t see any benefits from it. No matter what age you quit, you will still be able to increase your life expectancy.

What do you think? It doesn’t matter what age you are, if you quit today you can increase your lifespan and spend more time with friends and family. Quit today, what are you waiting for?!
