Bee pollen has long been known as a healing agent for many maladies.

Animal studies have shown that bee pollen could help with weight loss; however, there are no studies of it’s effect on human metabolism. There are some studies that show it helps with appetite control.

Bee pollen has been shown to to enhance energy levels and improve performance, so it is a very useful supplement for athletes and serious bodybuilders. For them it can help in the recovery of a workout and keep their performance rates high.

It has also been used in Europe and America to help treat prostate enlargement, prostatitis, and other prostate problems. And studies have shown bee pollen can fight radiation and chemical pollution. It has antioxidants that wipe out free radicals and will reduce radiation side effects because of that.

A lot of people who have pollen allergies can still use bee pollen. But there are cases of people who take large amounts and get allergies or have minor gastrointestinal irritation. There can also be a laxative effect to oral bee pollen. If you are very allergic to bee pollen, you should not take oral bee pollen. If you would like to take it, consult your doctor first.
