Our lives can get so hectic that we don’t get many of the nutrients that are important for good health. We forget that if we want to be the healthiest person we can be, good nutrition is the main way to achieve it. There are times where we can’t get a balanced meal or don’t have a balanced diet. This is when taking supplements are useful; they put the nutrients we need into our system.

A supplement is standing in for the nutrients we don’t eat throughout the day. They give us the nutrients we need and also provide us with more energy or muscles.

What kind of people need to take supplements?

-Someone who doesn’t have a balanced diet.

-A bodybuilder or athlete needs to take them because their body is working harder.

-Women who are pregnant should take supplements of iron, folic acid, and calcium.

-People in their teens should take them; usually they do not have a balanced diet or get enough iron.

-Anyone who is a vegetarian will need to supplement protein, iron, B12, zinc, and calcium.

-Children should take them to help them grow with the correct amount of nutrients.
