Getting the Most Vitamins Out of Your Food
September 18th, 2007 . by adminIf you are curious how you can get the most amount of vitamins from the foods you eat, here is a list of tips to help you do just that.
-Keep vegetables and fruit unrefrigerated for a few days. Don’t cut them up and leave them raw.
-You shouldn’t pay attention to statements that say refrigerating fruits will slow the number of nutrients being lost. It doesn’t all the way halt the process and fruits don’t become fresher when they are refrigerated for a while.
-Start eating fruits whole and don’t cut them into pieces. Every time fruit is exposed to oxygen, there are vitamins lost. So eating a raw fruit whole is much better than juice or any other form of fruit you eat.
-If you have time during mid-morning, you should stand in the sun for about 15 minutes. You will get your daily Vitamin D from the sun.
-Whenever you eat, you should always be focused on your food. Don’t eat and watch television. This way your nervous system works well and your digestive system works to it’s potential.
