The nutrient, Vitamin B6, works extremely hard in our bodies. It is also one of the vitamins that is commonly deficient in our bodies. Studies have stated that around a third of adults have a deficiency of Vitamin B6. There are also more women than men who have Vitamin B6 deficiency.

How does Vitamin B6 function?

Vitamin B6 or Pyridoxine is one of the most important nutrients required in life. It’s main function is to be a coenzyme and it will help other enzymes do their job when they need some help. Protein, red blood cells, and neurotransmitters all need this vitamin to form. It is needed to help turn the food we eat into energy. There is also research coming out that shows Vitamin B6 as an important part helping to prevent and treat diseases. It has also been shown to reduce homocysteine. According to recent studies, a healthy amount of Vitamin E in our diet can help to prevent Parkinson’s disease.

Parkinson’s disease is a chronic, progressive neurological disease. When you have Parkinson’s you get tremors, increased muscle rigidity, and are eventually paralyzed. It is not known why people get Parkinson’s, but there are some factors that may lead to a person having a greater risk to get it. Some of these are age, genetics, and environmental influences. Getting What you Want from Supplements

Some people who take supplements don’t see any results from them. If you are one of those people, here are some reasons why that may occur.

-You might need to take a higher dosage. If you take three pills at a time, it might not work as good as taking one pill three different times during the day. Taking a pill at different times in the day could work a lot better.

-You might not be absorbing it well. Try cleansing your system before you start taking your supplements again. Ask about which cleansers work the best. You should try taking enzymes when you eat or with supplements to help your digestion of the materials. There are some herbs that can help with digestion too.
